Deep ruby with violet glints. Silky blackcurrant and plum open on the palate, framed by fine-grained polished tannins. Dark chocolate and graphite at mid-palate, a finish of extraordinary length.

Region & Terroir

Margaux, Bordeaux

Château Margaux sits on the left bank of the Gironde, producing wines from gravelly, well-drained soils. The maritime climate ensures warm, dry summers that concentrate fruit in old vines.

Grape Varieties

Cabernet Sauvignon 90%, Merlot 6%, Petit Verdot 4%

Dominant Cabernet Sauvignon provides deep structure and longevity; Merlot softens the mid-palate; Petit Verdot adds color and spice.

Soil & Vinification

Deep Quaternary gravel over clay gives superb drainage. Fermented in wooden vats, aged 18 months in 100% new French oak.
